Jacqueline Rosa

Jacqueline is a marine scientist, environmental educator, and science communicator. She received her B.S in Marine Science from the University of Maine, conducting research on the thermal limits of the American lobster in response to climate change. She is a PADI certified Rescue and Advanced diver.

Jacqueline is passionate about conservation and understanding the relationship between human activity and ecosystem health. She has led habitat restoration and monitoring projects in the Dominican Republic, Maine, South Carolina, and California. Jacqueline has also connected students of all ages with hands-on science and sustainability programs, bringing the classroom outdoors. While teaching at the Catalina Island Marine Institute for several years, she developed and implemented programming that focused on marine biology, oceanography and island ecology.

As a Program Coordinator at Blue Latitudes, Ms. Rosa’s work is focused on developing the organization’s innovative programs and initiatives, as well as conducting public outreach and engagement activities.
